The concept

Ardéchoise de coeur for nearly 50 years, I chose to anchor here a little more and to make you discover the preserved natural and cultural heritage of this fabulous Ardèche by welcoming you from the end of Marchl to the beginning of November in comfortable Bed & Breakfast OH LA BELLE VUE!

After a busy professional life at the four corners of the planet, I welcome you in an elegant, relaxed and international spirit, en Français, in English or auf Deutsch, according to your preference.

The contemporary house with soul and character is nestled in the heart of the forests of the Regional Natural Park Monts d'Ardèche, in a garden in «faïsses" (terraces) that follows the steep relief of the hills near Aubenas.

At 500 meters above sea level, at the Col de Farges, you will enjoy a breathtaking view to Mont Ventoux at 100 km, with a 180° panorama from the Col de l'Escrinet to the Dent de Rez.

Your room, decorated and equipped with care, the panoramic terraces, the swimming pool, the flowered and wooded gardens will invite you to relax, in a green setting and in absolute calm. An ideal place to disconnect and recharge for a weekend or a longer stay.

My wish is you will leave amazed by your stay in the Ardèche and you have only one idea: to come again as soon as possible!

Due to the configuration of the garden in terraces on the hillside, the many stairs and the house that follows the slope, the guest rooms are unfortunately not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
They are also not necessarily suitable for a stay with young children.

Although we love them very much, for reasons of hygiene, respect for the place and other people, we do not accept pets.

The table d'hôtes

The table d'hôtes, upon reservation, offers several formulas for dinner, to choose according to your wish.

Gourmet cuisine gives pride of place to local and seasonal products, sourced as much as possible directly from producers, and sometimes prepared with an exotic touch.

Starting from the house, several circuits for walks and bike rides will allow you to admire the nature and the landscape, and to discover small typical villages.

The terraces of the flowered and wooded gardens invite you to relax, in the shade of large trees. An ideal place to read, dream, enjoy the panorama, according to your mood.

Activities around oenology

Ardèche wine

Passionate about oenology, I obtained my Certificate as a Professional Wine Taster at the Wine University of Suze la Rousse in the nearby Drôme Provençale, as well as the oenotouristic label "Vignobles & Découvertes" from ATOUT FRANCE after an audit.

The Table d'Hôtes therefore offers you a discovery menu with food and wine pairings, but also thematic tastings with an introduction to oenology allowing you to discover the wines of Ardèche in a relaxed and playful way.

Respect for the environment

We have the constant concern to preserve the beautiful environment that the Regional Natural Park Monts d'Ardèche offers us, so that the Ardèche will continue to amaze you for a very long time.

We do not use fertilizers or pesticides for the garden.

The plants are adapted to the climate, chosen for their low need of water to limit watering.
Mains watering is limited, and the sparse water need is supported by stored rainwater.
The planted beds are mulched with pruned and crushed plants to limit the need for watering and the growth of weeds.

The maintenance of the garden and the forest generates wood, branches and green waste. The wood is used to heat the house thanks to a wood boiler, and incidentally for the barbecue. With a double positive effect on electricity savings and wood cleaning, for the pleasure of a clean environment and the prevention of forest fires.

The branches are crushed into mulch for the beds.
Green waste is composted, as is vegetable waste from the kitchen.

The pool is heated when necessary, at the beginning and end of the season, or when the mistral refreshes the summer days.

We sort glass, recyclables and bio-waste to limit household waste.
Food bio-waste is composted just like garden waste, and the compost produced is reused in the garden.
The sparkling mineral water served at the table is coming from a spring in the Ardèche, in returnable and reused glass bottles. Limited transport thanks to the proximity of the spring.

We do not use hazardous cleaning products containing chlorine, such as bleach. We use a maximum of organic products for dish washing, laundry, cleaning of bedrooms and bathrooms, while respecting COVID 19 instructions, laundry and dish washing at 60°C, use of virucide products.

Let's also avoid food waste! The menus of the table d'hôtes are validated with you before their preparation. We prefer to serve you products that you like rather than having to throw them away while leaving you hungry and therefore unsatisfied!
